Oaks Retreat
Designed and operated a complete production system for an incoming freshman retreat featuring a unique visual approach and requiring substantial logistics coordination.

Visual Approach
In previous years, basic consumer TVs and cheap DJ lighting had been used, which provided a subpar experience during worship.
This year, the goal was to create a more welcoming environment and ensure lyrics were visible by everyone.
To achieve this, we rented almost 100 feet of ivory pipe & drape, lit with a custom LED strip solution and using a projector for lyrics to create a uniquely creative worship environment.
Logistics
To stay within budget, we rented and borrowed equipment from six different places, requiring substantial coordination to ensure nothing was lost or missed.
I created a spreadsheet and complete vectorworks plan, ensuring every detail had been accounted for on paper prior to load in.
This highlighted multiple issues early on, which made them easier to resolve, and contributed to a very smooth load in process.

Oaks Retreat is especially dear to my heart, as I participated in the retreat as a freshman coming into Auburn, so I’m especially grateful for the opportunity to help lead the retreat this year.
