Rebuild

I took an existing system and rebuilt it in Laravel, improving structure, reliability, and long-term maintainability.

This included redesigning key parts of the database and application flow as well as designing a brand new check-in system.

The goal was not just to recreate what existed, but to build a stronger foundation moving forward.

Admin Tools

Based on feedback from the recruitment office, I redesigned the backend interface to make it easier and more powerful to use.

I introduced clearer UI patterns, confirmation steps to prevent misclicks, improved data tables, and additional tools for managing attendees and schedules.

These changes made the system more intuitive and allowed the admin team to work more efficiently leading up to and during the event.

Having attended E-Day as a prospective student, I understand how impactful the experience can be, so being able to improve the system that supports it was especially meaningful for me. This project reflects how I approach engineering – listening to real users, identifying friction points, and building solutions that make a measurable difference.
